Considered a living part of American history, Karen is noted for her numerous National Anthem appearances at the Washington Redskins football games, VA Gold Cup Races and other events (dubbed the Kate Smith of Washington D.C.), and especially for shows presented for Bob Hope's 95th Birthday Celebration (U.S. Library of Congress); for the Wright Brothers' 100th Anniversary of Flight; for the 50th Commemoration of WWII; and the 40th Anniversary of the NASA Moon Walk. She has also performed at the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, the Corcoran School for the Arts, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Recent stage performance includes New Year's Eve 2011 Show held for/at the highly honored John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Karen and Sidney's Full Swing Orchestra performed on the Millennium Stage as National Symphony Conductor Murry Sidlin joined Karen and the band onstage to count down the New Year in that long standing tradtition.
